Ah, yes... the ever-loveable corpse puppet assassin. (Think Li Bailong from Shaman King, but smaller, female, and older. [age 16 at death, and 70 years under Toshi-sama.])
Edited on 2/12/07 - New color scheme! (The blue/yellow/red was driving me nuts... and it kept reminding me that I almost crammed that outfit on Toshi... >< It looks MUCH better on Amai-chan.) And I changed the beginning of her story to what it's supposed to be. ^_^
Amai was born into one of the more powerful Yakuza clans in Japan, and began training as an assassin at an early age. (Her first kill was at five. She walked up to a buisnessman in a busy airport, told him she was lost... and when he bent down to help her, she shivved him and ran off. ^^) She quickly rose through the ranks until she was poised to combine all the families and take over Japan.
That is, until she found out that one of her top three men was a mole for the police. There had been a mutual attraction between them for months, but this was completely unacceptable. One night, he came to her with an idea. Take over everything... then shut it down and escape with him to Europe. It was almost foolproof... if it hadn't been for her other two men listening at the door. They killed the officer and held Amai accountable. She was allowed to commit suicide (they respected her enough not to murder her) and dismembered her.
Her body was dumped on the land of a nearby Buddhist shrine... which happened to be the one that Toshi lives at. Toshi cleansed Amai's body and prepared it for a ritual resurrection, assisted by Namida, who happens to have a LOT of expertise when it comes to golems and homunculi. Namida stitched up Amai and replaced what needed to be, efficiently making her into a flesh golem. (much like Frankenstein's monster, if you will.) Toshi turned Amai into a Jiang-Si by allowing the assassin's soul to take repossession of her improved body. Amai now serves both with whatever tasks they need accomplished, and lives with Yasashii, Kaikatsu, and Seikatsu in the shrine, ever improving on her martial arts and weapon skills. She also is one of the judges and lead Shinigami under Azrael in the Hell Council.
And no, she cannot come apart. Those stitches are made of Toshi's flesh and bind her to the demonhunter.
