P:DH - Alastair - Nightmare

And not far behind is Alastair in all his banshee glory~!

Yeah... I'd seriously be WAY more afraid of Alastair. He tends to do that REALLY annoying thing... you know, the one where he blends into the shadows and comes out of goddamn NOWHERE?... yeah, I hate that.

Anywhoo...

Alastair's nightmare form is ~8'4" and is very... moist. Literally... the boy constantly looks and feels like he just got off the log flume ride. And he was the log.

He can unhinge his jaw in this form, adding to his ability to shape the sounds he makes, and giving him a few hundred extra decibels... he can also make a hypnotic noise in this form, normally used on children to pacify them. (nothing ruins a good nightmare hunt better than a kid who doesn't realize you're on HIS side.... >< )

The only things that really change for his physiology are: he now possesses a sinus cavity that takes up the majority of space in his head. His tongue is now attached completely to the bottom of his mouth, but can still make normal sounds.

He also has the ability to fly, much like a flying squirrel, due to the fact that his cape-tatters are fixed to his body.

Alastair's mouth also changes - he now has vertical slits instead of a traditional mouth, and they can change shape and size to give him better control over his sound modulation. The scars on his face do not interfere with this... they actually make it work -better-.

The only downside that Alastair has found with his nightmare mode... is the pretty, flowing reddish-black man-hair. His dreadlocks come down completely, and the length of his hair nearly doubles... but he can't do a damn thing with it. Because of the moisture that constantly clings to his body in this form, his hair will always remain free-flowing. But it adds to his banshee ambiance... so it's cool. ^_^ (And yes, I do realize that he has grey dreadlocks. It's like a light switch... you turn off the power, and the color goes away.)
